In addition to being tough, our ballistic covers are resistant to fur, stains, dirt, and moisture. They are incredibly easy to maintain, and can be brushed off or spot-cleaned with a damp towel to get them looking new. For a deeper clean, the bottom cushion of this bed can be removed and the cover can be machine washed in cold water. The bolster walls are built in, so larger size beds may need to be taken to a laundromat.

Please note that while this bed will hold up well to heavy use and everyday wear and tear, the raised bolster wall provides more seams and edges for a chewer to latch onto. For that reason, this bed style is intended for diggers, scratchers, and dogs that only chew occasionally. For determined or aggressive chewers who treat their beds like rawhide bones, our Chew Proof Armored style dog beds will be a much better fit.

Durable Design

This tough bed is made from proprietary ballistic fabric that has been expertly engineered to resist rips, tears, and punctures. The tight weave allows it to stand up to heavy digging and scratching behaviors, along with roughhousing and hard play. Ripstop technology further reinforces the material and prevent any potential damage from growing and spreading.

Machine Washable

Our bed covers are incredibly easy to keep clean—fur and dirt brush right off, and a damp towel can be used to spot clean more stubborn areas. The bottom cushion can also be removed and the cover machine-washed to get it looking as good as new.

For best results, wash in cold water on a delicate cycle and dry with low heat.

USA Made Foam Cushion

The pillow-style bed cushion is filled with shredded CertiPUR-US certified foam and is manufactured in-house at our California facility. The shredded foam provides just enough give that it conforms to your dog’s body, but is packed densely enough that your dog will never feel the floor. Sewn-in channels prevent the fill from clumping up and shifting.

Water Resistant

Our ballistic covers are lined with a waterproof coating that helps guard the mattress against water from weather, spills, and other accidents. For extra protection, the material is also treated with a durable water repellent finish so that fluids bead up and roll right off it.

This keeps your dog’s bed fresher for longer, and makes spot cleaning a breeze.

Original Ripstop

Our original covers are made from 1200D ripstop ballistic fabric. It has a smooth, slick texture that fur and dirt won't stick to. Good both indoors and outside.

Color: Obsidian Black

Premium Finish

This is our original ripstop ballistic fabric, but with a faux-woven coating that makes it a bit softer to the touch. Fur and dirt can stick more easily, so it should be used indoors only.

Colors: Titanium, Taupe

Cushion Liner

The bottom bed cushion is protected by a 600D ripstop ballistic fabric liner. It's much more durable than a standard bed liner and guards against wear and tear.

Our pillow cushions are produced in accordance with the principles of zero-waste manufacturing—we shred down foam scraps left over from making our orthopedic beds and use them to fill these lofty mattresses, ensuring no foam gets thrown out.

For the bolster padding, we use certified-safe recycled polyester fiberfill produced from discarded water bottles. Over the last five years we’ve kept more than six million plastic bottles out of landfills by upcycling them into our bed filling.
